Every year the town of Hatch has a campout where we go and cut wood for the widows in the town and anyone who needs it. It's a lot of fun and we get to sing songs, play games and participate in competitions. The cooking contest is always great and you always get a lot of really good dutch oven and salads and what ever anyone brings. After we have an old fashioned wood cutting contest where you and a team member cut through a log. It's with an old hand saw for two. My camera died so I didn't get a picture. But Scott and I won for the 3rd year in a row. But this year only by a fraction of a second. We better start practicing so that we can hold our title.

So we decided to go for a walk on the ranch one day. Granny, Beth, Mom, Colton and Will all met up with Grandpa. He was on the ranch fixing the spring to that it would fill the pond again. We had a lot of fun. We sat down and had a picnic together. We hiked and found lots of flowers and even some shells in the bottom of the dry pond. What an adventure. Well the next day we all went for a walk again. This time we went on down to the 4th pond. Well while we were walking down the road Granny's dog ran out toward the cows. Well they didn't like that and started to chase her. We weren't to excited about that either so we stopped and watched the cow. Well it then decided that it didn't like us either so we turned around and started walking back. The cow stopped and we thought we were okay, until another cow decided we were a bother and then they both started chasing us. We ran and ran and ran until we could get over the fence. We then continued along the pond and had a lot of fun throwing rocks in the water and such. Well when we went to leave there were about 10 cows waiting along the fence. I guess we are scarier than we thought we were. What an adventure.
